Have you ever walked quietly down a tree-lined street and paid close attention to small details? At the end of my luncheon at the
Governor's Mansion, I took the opportunity to do just that while strolling down South Temple on the way to meet up with my husband and kids. I observed many things: the traffic, the hilled avenues, the homeless people. But what struck my artistic sensibility that day were the churches.
Being the international headquarters for the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints, it will surprise some that Salt Lake City is home to several extraordinary churches and cathedrals. I stopped to spend time studying the details on the two I passed along my way, and want to share a small part of the beauty that touched me that day...
