Winter Vacation Planning in Steamboat Springs

We have 1 little guy who has quickly picked up some great ski skills, and even though it's still the middle of summer, I'm making plans for getting him out on the slopes this winter as much as possible. One of the destinations on our bucketlist? Steamboat Springs, Colorado.

Although we often look for off-the-beaten pass lodging, I'm intrigued by the ski-in/ski-out opportunities available at the Chateau Chamonix, Mountain Resorts' vacation property.  Sitting directly on the slopes of Steamboat's Mt Werner, it looks like the ideal location for a Rocky Mountains vacation.

A huge plus? It is only steps away from the Steamboat Snow School, where I would love to enroll all the kids.  In addition, the Chateau Chamonix has an indoor/outdoor pool, hot tubs, sauna, fitness center and a complimentary shuttle for a quick trip to the grocery store or downtown Steamboat Springs.

The condominium layout will still allow us to feel like we're staying independently with a full kitchen, gas fireplace, washer/dryer and wireless Internet. But there are also complimentary hot beverages and pastries, as well on-slope ski valet and storage to make the stay as comfortable and relaxing as possible.

Here's why I'm expecially thinking about a Steamboat Springs vacation right now...
